TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:Chief of National Police Gen. Da’i Bachtiar has said that last week’s meeting between the National Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in Bali resulted an agreement that the two institutions would cooperate to fight against terrorism. The Police Chief was speaking to reporters before attending a meeting of the Financial Sector Police Committee (KKSK) at the Ministry of Finance office on Monday afternoon (18/3). Bachtiar went on to say that Indonesia would be sending police officers to the United States to study how to fight terrorism. “National Police is committed to fight against international terrorism as well as local terrorism,” added the Police Chief. As reported by TEMPO Interactive on Friday (15/3), the Police Chief and Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono met with FBI Director Robert Mueller in Nusa Dua, Bali.
